Dryer is getting me heated!

I bought this used Whirlpool dryer a couple of years ago. It's worked fine... 'till it didn't. It turns on and tumbles, but it does not dry. I verified thermostats and fuses for continuity. I even changed the 4 pronged thermostat because it looked like it had never been changed. It will dry for a few minutes, then it will pop the thermal cut off switch. If I change it out (or reset it), it will heat up again, then pop the cut off once more. I've cleaned out the lint filter and shoot. Everything still reads good for continuity. Is it overheating? What could be causing it?
