Clothes Take Forever to Dry
It is drying clothes but it takes over an hour to dry. The vents are all clean. I have taken the thing apart and cleaned every inch of it. I have replaced the sensors and the thermistor even though it didn't tell me in the diagnostic mode that it needed one. The blower is working fine and it is getting good airflow.
I have used a meat thermometer to try and figure out what is going on temp wise. With no clothe in the dryer it heats rapidly to about 180 and then decreases rapidly to 150. It bounces between these two temps rapidly. It heats fine in diagnostic mode as well. When you put a load of clothes in, no matter what size it rides just bellow 120. This is on high heat timed dry. No cycle works correctly. I spoke to LG and the operating temp on high should be around 158. I hate this dryer. It was a gift from my hubby but I am ready to sell it and get and avocado green dryer that doesn't "think".
Is there a way to strip this dryer of the sensors and make it function like and old dryer. High, Medium, Low for as long as I want? Any ideas on what part to replace or test next?
