I love this dryer, it's been a champ. Recently it's started to squeak loudly around mid-cycle until the cycle finishes. When I put in a new load right afterwards, it often stops until mid-cycle once again.

I've been reading responses that it could be a rear bearing. Once again I call upon your expertise so I can get the parts ordered and fix it!

Thanks so much!

ge has had a problem in this area. it is the ground strap that is squealing and ge has a replacement part no. we1m544 strap, comes with instructions. while i had it apart i would go ahead and replace the sleeve bearing part no. we25m40. both parts are inexpensive.
