roaring vibration noise when running
Model Number: DPSQ495GTOWW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Dryer suddenly began to make a loud roaring vibration noise though its still running. The belt looks fine. I don`t know how to remove the drum to check the bearing. What else could be causing the noise? Please help.

Unplug the dryer and remove it to the yard if possible. Start here:
 Start here  Older models need to have this clip removed(yer we3x75 goes there)  we3x75 drum bearing Remove the screws:  Lift the front out yer way  Bad drum glides make weird noises sorta like bad rear brake shoes on a garbage truck or bus  Old style drum glide  Inside the dryer:  Note location of non-resetible limit (if bad dryer will not run) A broken heating element:  Broken dryer element (can easily be restrung)No need to buy the whole new pan!
