No heating in the dryer. Heating element has broken element. Tested with ohm meter and no continuity in the terminal connections. This element needs to be replaced. The problem is how to take out element from the heater housing ? confused:

Hello,

You have to remove the heater box first.

Remove the rear cover. Remove the screw that secures the strap spring at the top of the box. Remove the wire leads to the hi-limit thermostat and the heat element. Lift the box off its supports. remove one retaining screw at the bottom of the heater box. Pull the element out through the bottom of the heater box.

In order to install the new elemnt you may need two additional connecting wires which should be ordered separately.

- The heating element Part number: 4391960
Part number: 4391960

- The connecting wire Part number: 279457
Part number: 279457
