First off sorry this is a dryer in a apartment and the dryer was "as is" when we moved in. I do not know much more than the info I got you. I am just seeing if its possible to fix for less than $100.

I have a kenmore 60 series soft heat dryer in my apartment that when you close the door to the dryer, if the timer is not in the off position, the dryer starts. What could possibly be the cause for this and how easy/much does it cost to replace the part.

I took off the back plate because I heard it might be a faulty start button, and when the timer goes from on to the off position and cuts off there is a tiny spark that comes from the timer, is this normal.

Thank you for your time
Chris
