Default Over heating
Model Number: PYE2000AYW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer will start up and run fine for about 2 loads. Then it will begin to make a funny smell and shut down. After about 2 hours of letting it cool down it will fire back up and do the same thing again. What would be the pronblem. I have vacumed out the lint and cleaned the chute. The outside vent pipe is brand new from the dryer to the outside of the house.
