Our LG Gas Dryer Model DLG2524W is now taking almost twice as long to dry our cloths. The lint trap is clean and I have checked the vent tube for blockage but it is clean all the way through on the dryer side and wall side. The dryer does heat up but not as hot as before the slow drying problem.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to what to look for? Maybe a bad heating element or a sensor that is failing. Any input you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi.

Remove the vent hose from the dryer and run one test heavy load of clothing. If the drying time will be normal, the problem is outside the dryer.
Post the results.
