Samsung electric dyer only heats a few seconds
I have a Samsung electric dryer that was not heating. I took it apart, vacuumed everything, and ran it (while apart), saw heating element glow orange and heat up for about 30 seconds then shut off. Kept running in a minute or two came back on then shut off again. I verified there are no blockages anywhere in the lint trap assembly or the exhaust vent piping and have good flow outside. I tested all the heating element, the thermostats and thermistor and all seem good so I put it back together and was able to dry 2 loads and then no heat again...
The unit has 3 thermostats and a thermistor. All t-stats and heating element had continuity (i.e set the multimeter to beep setting and when I test them they all beep), and if I set my ohms meter to 2000 or above the thermistor reads approx 10 ohms at room temp. I also tested the t-stats and all of them were around 1 ohm.
Not sure I am testing correctly, this is my first time really testing continuity/ohms, I usually just test if a electrical outlet/switch is on or not. Please help!
