Model Number: LDE490 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
Hi,
ran 8 loads of laundry yesterday. last load did not dry. we have checked the vent. no clogged or plugs. no heat. there seems to be multiple possiblities..thermostat, heat coil, moisture sensor...etc. is there a way to narrow the field. We have a testor as noted in other forums..but not sure how to go about with our model. I have the diagrams off your website.. any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. I hate to call out a repair person if I can narrow the field, so very expensive- my husband is very handy and can test most anything. Thank you |

I would make sure your power is 240 volts into the dryer, next pull the front panel and check the heater and wires to it, if bad, order a new one P# 303404
