I was hoping somebody may be able to help so I can try and fix it myself. I have an GE Adora gas dryer model DHDVH52GF0WW. The last couple loads of laundry seem to be taking extra long to dry. Sometimes the clothes feel cold and damp after running for quite awhile. Once I opened the dryer and it was cold inside and it smelled slightly of gas inside the drum too. The pilot does come on as I watched in the dark. I seen it come on but didn't seem to stay on long.. Any ideas??? Thanks

Hi,

You may want to start the troubleshooting from verifying that the vent outside the dryer is absolutely clean and there are no any air flow restrictions. Also take the dryer apart and clean all air ducts inside. Make sure the blower wheel is not clogged and is working fine.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for GE DHDVH52GF0WW Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com

Thanks...I will definilty check that out..Is it a real task to get to these parts, or is it just the case of taking off the front panel??? Someone told me that it is proably the gas valve coils, could this be the case??? Thanks again!!! Tammy

Tammy,

You have to remove the front panel and the drum. You can find more information in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...oisy-everytime-runs.html

It can be a bad coils but lets do one thing at a time.
