I have a Whirlpool dryer LGR6620PQ1 and I’m having issues with different cycles that I select. On automatic cycle the dial will not move and will continue drying until you open the door. On timed drying, the timer will move and will not heat. I have checked the Thermal Fuse, Operating thermostat, cycling thermostat and high-limit thermostat all which indicate about 7 ohms. Is there something else I should check? Could the problem be with one of the parts that I already checked?

Hello,

I would like you to redo all of these tests because 7 Ohms reading is incorrect. The normal reading for any of the above parts should be close to 0 Ohms.

Also open the control panel and check for continuity between the timer terminals TM & WB while the timer is set for timed dry and between the timer terminals TM & OR wile the timer is set for auto dry.

Make sure you will remove the wires from the testing parts prior to the test.

Post the results.

I guess it just needed a second look. I tested all parts and showed continuity on everything but, across the middle pins of the cycling thermostat. I also tested the timer and it was good to go.

Sounds like the problem is a bad gas valve coils.

Received the parts and put them in, not a real difficult fix. Ran laundry this weekend and dryer is working great. Thank you for the help!
