I just bought a reconditioned dryer, installed the cord myself, and it has run fine for about 2 weeks. Today it suddenly sparked near cord, so I turned off the power, and took a look at the cord connection. I'm attaching a picture. The cord is fine, no damage. But one of the wires inside the machine that attaches to the connections block is fried. Did I cause this by installing the cord improperly? Or is the cord installed properly, and the dryer just malfunctioned? KWas attached the following image(s):
