Whirlpool Dryer Beeps Won't Start
Model Number: ggw9868kq2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Dryer has electricity to it. Can set the control to the function we want and all settings appear correct on the panel. When you push start it beeps 3 times. We went ahead and ordered the Thermal Fuse and the Door Switch thinking it may be one of those items. Just replaced them and still have the same problem.
I was able to figure out how to get the diagnostic code by pressing More time, less time, more time, less time. It says code 79 but we can't seem to find the troubleshooting sheet that says what that means. Please help! Note that we replaced the door switch as recently when you opened the door, the dryer was not automatically stopping anymore. Thanks!
