Dryer starting issues
 

I live in an apartment that has washer and dryer combo (washer on bottom and dryer on top). I was using my dryer one day when the dryer starter switch failed, and the dryer won't start anymore. At least I think it might be the dryer starter switch. Pulled everything apart and everything seemed ok, no burnt wires or anything. What could be causing my dryer not to start?:confused:

Could you please specify which part exactly failed: the knob of the start switch or the switch itself? If it was the switch then where did it fail and what happen with it's wires?

The button doesn't work to start dryer. It a push button I just called it a starter switch I thought that's what it was called.

Pull the unit out of the wall. Remove the rear cover and check the thermal fuse fro continuity.
