Model Number: RED4440SQO0 Brand: Roper Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi All,
Been attempting to fix a dryer. My wife first told me about the issue a few months ago. Problem is for a regular size load it takes at least full 7- min cycle plus another 30 minutes. Things I have checked: Dryer hose vent is < 3 feet Dryer hose vent is clean Exit vent on the outisde of the house is clean Continuity on the heating elements is good I have cleaned the dryer internal vents as best as possible The most interesteing thing is the exit temperature behind the dryer, tested with a meat thermostat, registers ~100F or lower. Not for sure what to test next or what part could have failed in that manner. Ads By Google Related Models |

The exit temperature I previously mentioned was for Low temperature setting.
With temperature knob set to high exit vent temperature is maybe as high as 120F-100F. Forgot to mention I did test the electric connection outlet and it meausers 240V. |

Hi.
I don't know how accurate is your thermometer, but the thermostat is set for 155 F*, so you should read close to this temperature. If you are sure in the accuracy - replace the cycling thermostat Part number: 3387134 By the way, the 37 min drying time for regular load is good. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Bulkhead Parts, Optional Parts (not Included) parts for Roper RED4440SQ0 - AppliancePartsPros.com Post the results. Simon.
