dryer is scquealing when it start up
Model Number: mdet336ayw Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
could this be the dryer motor or the pulley

Hi.
You need to check rear rollers, idler pulley and motor. If you put a small drop of WD40 on the rollers and pulley shafts it should temporary take care of the noise (if this is not the motor).
