Hope you all can help. My 70 series dryer heats up for a few minutes then turns off and cycles through this. Reading other related posts, I replaced the gas valve coils, but the problem remains. The igniter lights the gas, it stays on for a few minutes, then turns off for a few minutes, re-ignites, runs for a few min the repeats process. It seems each ignition cycle gets shorter in terms of how long it heats.

Appreciate any thoughts you might have. thanks

Hi.

What you are describing is the way the gas dryer supposed to work. The flame should be on from minute and a half to three min., then off for approx. one min.
If yours is cycling faster and staying off longer - there is a restriction in the air flow.
Check the vent, the blower and filter housing.

Simon.

Thanks Simon. I put the dryer back together last night and will be running some loads through it in a day or so to verify. Problem before (replacing the coils) was that the first load pretty much dried, but didn't afterwards.

Thanks again and will let you know how it goes
