Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/11/2013(UTC) Posts: 3		I have a Maytag electric dryer. When I turn it on, the digital display comes on and works as normal. The heating element and the drum belt work. The dryer works as normal (clock ticks down, sensors detect wetness, etc), except the drum doesn't turn. When I ran the diagnostic test, it told me that the inlet thermistor was faulty. Would this cause the drum to not turn? It seems like that was for the heating element.

There is the belt tension switch near the idler pulley so when the belt brakes the motor won't turn on.
