I have a Maytag gas dryer and it recently gave a problem with heating. The heat will come on when I switch it on first time. After few mins the heat would shut off, then after few secs igniter would flow to bright red but the heat will not start this time. The igniter would keep illuminating to bright red about every 20 secs, but the heat wouldn't start.

After following the recommendations in many forums, we nailed down that the problem was with the Gas valve coil. I replaced the gas valve coil. Now the heat comes on for the first time, and stays on forever (I tried a max of 7 mins, and had to stop the dryer because it became too hot - when I opened the dryer the clothes were too hot and almost burnt my hand). Any suggestions on what is wrong now?
