Hi Sandra,
Most likely there is a problem with the heating circuit. It consists of four major parts: 1. Thermal cut off (#6 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram) 2. Operating (cycling) thermostat (#20 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram) 3. Hi limit thermostat (#15 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram) 4. Heating element (#17 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram) To find out which part caused the problem you have to check them for continuity in the above sequence. If any of them is open - it has to be replaced. The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter - How To Check Continuity With Ohmmeter - The part number for the thermal cut off is AP3094244 - The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3131939 - The part number for the hi limit thermostat is AP3131941 - The part number for the heating element is AP3094254 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model LER4634JQ1 Good luck. Gene.
