Model Number: de312 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
R&R'd heating element but violated my own rule taking notes before removing bad heating element.
The element "tube" attaches to the rear of the drier via an "L" bracket and screw. This makes the tube pretty much level to the front of the drier. BUT...now the cover and tube are way out of alignment. If I reattach the cover to the bottom of the drier via two screws, the cover doesn't come close to covering the tube! Did I misplace a part during dis-assembly? It sure appears that I can't bend the tube down to attach the cover to it. Hope you can help a REALLY frustrated DIYer! Ads By Google Related Models |
