Model Number: LG6151XSW1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Have occasional undesirable soot flake. Seeking counsel/ignorance relief before investigation. Thinking slight air adj. will suffice. Been many years since working on gas dryer.

Hi.
Try to clean the orifice with the needle and adjust the air /gas mixture by moving the shatter. Here are the breakdown diagrams and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/bu...g6151xsw1.html Post the results. Simon.

Really overwhelmed with all the help y'all. Thanx a bunch! Seem to pretty much be talking to myself here 'cept for Simon.
As per Simon's request here's what I did. I plugged up the 091 orfice w/JB Weld, drilled it out w/#54 bit, reinstalled and fired 'er up. Good lookin' mostly blue flame. Put 'er back together and dried clothes. Hope this helps someone down the line. God bless, Dwayne |
