Model Number: LDG810 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
Maytag Gas Dryer LDG810 bought in the 80's has done wonderful.
But lately it has been what seems to be "overheating" and stopping itself. If we pressed the start button, nothing would happen. We would open the door to let it cool, and go back in about 20 minutes and we would press the start button again and it would start back drying. Now, it has stopped working altogether. Occasionally, we can go press the start button and hear a hum for about 5 seconds, then it will quit. But it doesn't seem to be spinning even when it does start for those 5 seconds. So if it is not spinning, does that mean we need a replacement belt and idle pulleys. If so, do we need more repaired since it is also not starting regularly? Thanks for your time and any advice you can give. Ads By Google Related Models |
