Model Number: NJLR473GT0Wr3 Brand: Hotpoint Age: 5 - 10 years
HI
We have a hotpoint dryer that works perfectly well. Two days ago I detected a slight propane smell in our laundry room. We tried to eliminate the source (we have three dryers - large laundry) and pinned it down to this one. Gas detection liquid (or whatever its called!) doesn't show leakage from the connections so we figure it must be from the valve or something inside the dryer. A quick look at replacement parts shows several that could be the problem - but which one? Any ideas of the most likely source? Also any tips to confirm location of problem before buying parts.
