Gas Dryer Will Not Continue to Heat Up
Model Number: mdg9316bww Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello,
Thanks in advance for any constructive feedback. Problem: dryer will not continue to heat up. When the dryer is cold, heat comes on for a short time, however, after less than a minute, the heat stops. I removed the front cover from my Maytag Dryer model number mdg9316bww. I pressed the start button: (a) the igniter glowed and (b) the gas burnt and a flame was seen for about 30 seconds. Shortly after the flame went out: the dryer remained cold and the spin continued. Any ideas? Broken coil expanded upon heat and breaking circuit? What parts might you recommend my purchasing/replacing. Again, thanks in advance for your time. Ads By Google Related Models
