brown/rust marks on clothes from GE dryer lower felt
Model Number: DSXH43GV0WW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My GE DSXH43GV0WW dryer is leaving brown marks on clothes. Sort of looks like rust marks, but I don't think it is rust because it isn't a stubborn stain like rust - washes right out.
After examining the dryer drum, I am suspicious of the Lower Felt as the culprit. Question #1: How hard is it to disassemble the dryer top and front panel in order to access and replace the Lower Felt? Are there any instructions provided with the part? Question #2: If I am replacing the lower felt, should I also replace the Drum Slide (not sure why they don't call this "Upper Felt")? These are ridiculously expensive parts for being just a piece of felt and some glue, so I don't want to replace more than I have to.
