Unhappy '99 Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Super Cap Plus
Model Number: Not sure   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years

Went to turn my Whirpool dryer on last night and it makes the sound it would make when its on and running, but its not tumbling. I had just used it the night before! Bought this new 13 years ago; haven't had a problem until now and if it isn't complicated, I would like to try to fix it myself. Advice is greatly appreciated

Most likely it's a broken belt. Please provide the model number so we can assist you with choosing the right part.
(It's on the door or on the cabinet arownd the opening)

Hi,
Thanks for responding to me. Sorry it took so long to get back to you but I had to go to the laundry mat! The model number on the dryer is LGQ8858HQ1
