Dryer won't heat
Model Number: GLER341A52 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello there,
My electric dryer turns but there is no heat; clothes do not dry. I called a handyman to look at it. He brought out some type of a reading device and says heating "element" is okay. He wants to replace the DOOR SWITCH; he says that it looks like it may not be connected properly. I believe this part sits behind the rectangular opening located in the upper right hand side of the opened front door. He also says that there is a bottom switch located on the inside panel of the front door that he wants to replace. Other than that, he doesn't know what else could be the problem b/c everything else checks out. What do you think? Any suggestions? I already appreciate your attention and feedback. Hi.
I do not think that your handyman is an experienced repairman. Get another one. Check if there is 240VAC to the dryer first of all. Then there are control and hi milt thermostats to be checked. Simon.
