GE Harmony Gas Dryer- No Heat
Been researching various diy sites and found the technical service guide and have used the field service mode and disassembled and reassembled this complex unit. The problem started with intermittent heating. Then no heat would come on. Field service mode has found different errors at different times. At first it just said "The blower is not getting up to speed". Last night I discovered there was a "more" option in the service mode report and I found another error, "The appears to be no gasflow..." so I replaced a redundant safety shutoff in the gas line with a straight nipple and after running for a while the unit's blower kicked in and the gas fired. Thought it was fixed, then this morning its not firing again and ran the service mode and it shows the previous stated 2 errors an now, a third message is, "there is a problem with the inlet thermistor". This thing is driving me crazy...just picked it up used and should've stuck with the basic dryer model!! HELP!! heading out to the laudrymat now. Oh also, resistance on motor is correct per the tech service guide test. Can I test the blower motor by hot wiring it to be sure it's bad? I thought the prblm was blower motor or inverter but want to be sure which one before I go and buy and replace something!!
