Default Old Dryer needs part no longer manufactured
Model Number: LCE462P-W0   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: More than 10 years

I have searched for this part (#3205014 - lint housing cover) and have been told many times it is no longer available and no one seems to have a substitute part.
What do I do now? This cover holds the lint filter in place and with it broken it is snagging the clothes. Can I remove it and run the dryer without a lint filter? I don't want to start a fire.
Does anyone know of a source that might have some very old parts?
