Model Number: LDE512 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
This is a dryer I purchased used. I soon found that the timer did not work. That is to say the dryer worked perfectly well to dry cloths except that the timer did not turn and then turn off. I had to go check it and take out the cloths when they where dry.
I recently replaced the timer with a new one from this site. I "think" it was working just fine with the new timer for 5 or 6 loads of laundry. A few days after installing the new timer I discovered that it was once again not switching off after any amount of time. I was very careful when installing it to transfer one wire at a time to the new timer. Im confident that the new timer is installed exactly as the old one. Is there some other element of the dryer that I should troubleshoot? Is there some other element in the dryer that if faulty would cause the motor in the timer to burn out? Thank you for any ideas you have on this subject. -fil2 Ads By Google Related Models |
