timer not advancing dryer heats does not turn off
Model Number: 110.66822694 66822 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Timer not working, dryer not stopping in all modes. It heats but does not cool down. I know that if thermostat does not work it will not advance the timer. Housewife has husband's Sears autorangin multimeter - not sure how to test thermostat or even if I need to do this. Any information would be appreciated.

I am assuming that the motor works and the drum turns.
The likely solution is to replace the timer. Here is the part Part number: AP3100522
