I have a Frigidaire Gallery Gas Dryer, SN XD11813665. The Dryer starts and runs normally but soon (about 1-2 minutes) after the gas ignites the dryer kicks the GFI. When the GFI is reset, it will do the same thing again?

When its set on low heat for dedicates it runs fine and doesn't trip the GFI?

It is not recommended by all major appliance manufacturers to use a GFI outlets for a large home appliances. I believe your dryer will work good and will be safe to use if you will use a regular outlet. You can read more about GFI's in one of our previous threads: dryer blowing gfi outlet

Thanks for you're response. Why would it not occur on the low temperature setting as well, especially since the dryer runs longer on the lower temperature to dry the clothes?

Thank you for your response. Since the fan motor runs fine on low temperature heat, what would be the difference. The fan speed is the same on low heat or high?

Hi Andy,

I don't know why because it has to be tested and a regular meter maybe not good enough for such test.

As long as a regular 15 amps circuit breaker would handle it there is nothing to worry about.
