Hello - I have read a couple of older posts about replacing the bearing in a squeaky F-P top load dryer and also the blog post by TechnicanBrian:
<title>Fisher & Paykel Dryer making Noise I also found this video: Inlet Bearing Replacement on Vimeo My question is: In the video, they show a lot more disassembly than TechnicanBrian discusses in the blog post. Do I really need to replace the shaft and the bearing? The video also shows needing to lift the drum a bit to seat the bearing correctly - can that be done without all the disassembly of the top and front? I'm a little intimidated by the amount of disassembly shown in the video - I am willing to give it a go if it is just 1 hex screw and 5 philips screws, but the video shows quite a bit more than that! Thank you! Ads By Google |
