Model Number: wed5300sq0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
my dryer quit getting hot so i thought the heating element went out i decided to use the air fluff cycle i put the timer at 20 minutes and the dryer never shut off until i opened the door so now im thinking it the timer

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool WED5300SQ0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the wiring diagram. Did the timer advance but hang up just before off. If yes then it is probably a blown heater. If you look at the timing diagram you will see that the End Of Cycle gets power through Timer Switch 0 TM/OR contacts which gets it's power through the heating coil to drive the timer that last little bit to off.
