Dryer won't start
Model Number: 11063912100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
Started a cycle and the dryer stopped pretty early. Now it won't restart. No blown breaker - reset just to be safe.
I checked the start switch and door switch for continuity and they seemed fine. I bypassed the thermal fuse by disconnecting it and taping the wires together. Still nothing. Only other clue is that the timer ticks only when I am holding the start button down. Ideas? Ads By Google Related Models

Hi.
You need to check if the belt and the belt switch are OK. Here is the belt switch Part number: 279782 Post the results. Simon.

Also, just want to say how cool it is that forums like this exist.
I don't begrudge anyone making a living repairing items but, it is so satisfying fixing something yourself. Thanks to all that post not just in this forum but other forums of all kinds.
