whats a matter wit my dryer. is it the belt?

Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

my gas dyer will turn on you can hear motor running but drum wont spin. then it makes funny nose then shuts off.

What is the complete model number of the dryer?

Can you describe more specifically that "funny noise" please?
