Model Number: DG410 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
I have a DG410 from the early 80's. A couple of months ago it stopped working, turned out to be the ignitor. A month ago I replaced the ignitor and everything seemed to work fine, the ignitor glowed, the gas came on and lit. Suddenly this week, the gas no longer lites. I've checked the valve and turned it all the way in either direction and get the same result. One suggestion I've seen is to check the air flow from the vent, so I did that and there seems to be plenty of air flow. Is there anything else that I can check? Does this sound like the whole valve needs to be replaced or only part of it? It looks like on ******************** the valve kit is like $150 which is already a substantial way towards a new dryer.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide. Ads By Google Related Models |
