Model Number: DPSR610G8WT Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
One load of clothes dried normal. Then I opened the dryer door, no light came on, thought the bulb might have burned out until I pressed start and nothing happened. Flipped the house breaker for the dryer outlet, moved the dryer out and checked that it was plugged in. Still no power to the dryer at all.
I'm a little appliance challenged so please be gentle. Kind of torn between a repair person or a new dryer at this point. Help Gloria Ads By Google Related Models |

Hi, Gloria.
Do you own a multimeter and know how to use it? The first think to check: is there a 240VAC to the dryer connector block at the back? If yes - check the light bulb and the door switch using the multimeter. If you ready for this let me know and we'll troubleshoot it. Simon.

I don't have a multmeter or should say don't think I have one. Husband passed away a few months ago & there might be one in a tool box around here. Don't remember one but you never know. I have checked to be sure that all the plugs were connected solid. Unplugged from the wall and replugged. Let's go with I don't have a meter.

Hi, Gloria.
To trouble shoot you must have a multimeter and basic knowledge. May be you should consider a repairman? Simon.
