Model Number: dccb330gv0wc Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
Hi All-Dryer stopped heating. Took it all apart and checked all fuses for continuity-all ok, including flame sensor. Checked igniter-found it to be bad and replaced. Removed drum and shunted drum switch with front panel off. Fired it up, motor turned, igniter lit for approx. 15 sec, no flame, igniter cycled off. Pulled coils and tested resistance with vom on 2k scale, one coil read 1420 ohms and the other about 1200, which seemed to be in line with the on-line tech specs of 1300 ohms +-150. Reinstalled coils and tried to read 120 volts at each coil plug while igniter lit, all to no avail. Could the flame detector not be opening to allow the coils to energize or possibly a bad valve itself? Thank you fro your help!
