Model Number: GE DGG7 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I replaced the flame sensor a year or two ago so was familiar with the inside of the dryer. On testing, igniter lit, flame detector had continuity, and main (3-prong) coil was in the range for continuity.
Secondary had infinite and I replaced it. Good for a load or so, but now flame detector has no continuity and main coil reads "dead" too. Can the new coil cause that reation? Ads By Google Related Models |

The model is an older GE: DDG7 189slbww.
I still didn't get continuity, but put it back together and voila, it's working. It may have been that my multimeter has a low battery. If it stops again, something's up. |

I'm glad it's up and running.
Thank you for the feed back. Gene.
