this dryer starts off working blowing hot but after about a 2-3 min then the heat drops off warmer than hot for about 20 sec then after that it will cool off again afterwards it will then heat back up to hot the temp never seems to stay the same all of the parts check out good however this seems odd to me because it should stay hot until the drying cycle is complete i bypassed the cycling thermostat for test purposes and it stayed completely hot without any cool down process i need help to get this dryer working properly and get it heating as it should
Have you checked/cleaned the vent system?
Unplug the unit and disconnect it from the vent system.
Now try a run.
If it now dries OK odds are the vent system needs checking/cleaning.
Be sure to check that the louvers on the outside of the house open correctly.
If you do not want any lint in the house.
Take a pair of pantyhose.
Put one leg into the other and then attach this to the dryer's vent.
Leave enough room so the pantyhose can balloon out like a windsock.
Both the above will let you check the temperature and the air flow.
Note: The above is not recommended for gas dryers due to carbon monoxide concerns.
the problem with the heat changing never staying constant is happening while it is not hooked up it is being bench tested no vent hose and is tested outside the house i haven't pulled the lint tube yet however if i bypass the cycling thermostat it will run hot just like it should
