Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Whirlpool LER5636EQ3 ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the tech sheet. I could not find one for an EQ3 so it is for an EQ2 but is probably the same as yours. (timed dry only, our dryer has no sensor) Although your unit does not have a sensor it has auto modes which do sort of the same thing. In a timed dry mode, the timer motor gets power directly through Timer Switch 0 contacts TM/WB. In auto modes it gets power through the heating coil when the coil is shut off through Timer Switch contacts TM/OR. The 5000 ohm resistor is there to drop the 240 volts down to 120 volts so it does not blow the timer motor. There are a number of things that can cause it to not advance in auto re: a blown resistor, a grounded element etc. So does it also not advance on a timed dry cycle?
