when replacing the thermal and high temp sensors does it matter if the wires get crossed

See the attachment for the wiring diagram.
The high-limit thermostat does not matter. The main/cycling thermostat is 4 wire so you have to make sure that the red and red/white go to the thermostat's contacts and that the violet (I think) go to it's internal heater.
