Electric dryer will heat. All the thermo fuses are good, the heating element is good. I'm only getting 120 volts at element and I don't know if I should be getting 240 there. Could it be the switch on the motor? I need help before I order the wrong part. Thanks:confused:

HI.

Did you check if there is 240VAC to the dryer? Reset the circuit breaker.

Hi.

Due to the age of the dryer I can't find any diagrams, so you need to trace the wires.
With one wire off the heater check witch leg has no voltage and follow it up the chain.
Normally one leg goes through the timer and all the thermostats and another one through the motor switch.
If you have the diagram attached to the inside of the toe panel - you may jump the proper timer contacts.

Thanks Simon for all your help. You gave me some great idea's on getting it going. It was the switch on the motor. Works great.
Thanks again, Randy
