Model Number: MGDB850WQ0 Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi,
I have a 2 year old Maytag Bravos gas dryer MGDB850WQ0. Recently it started doing this thing where it will initially heat, then stop heating (even after restarting the cycle) and also the timer jumps down by a lot. Say on the normal cycle it starts at 50+ minutes and within a couple of minutes the timer jumps down to say 18 minutes. Sometimes it keeps jumping down till it turns off, sometimes it will keep working for the 18 minutes without heating more. The dryer does heat up initially. I am not sure if this is just a matter of bad coils, can somebody tell me how to test them? Also what could be causing the timer to jump down? Is this somehow related to a bad humidity sensor? Could it be clogged (needs cleaning)?. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ads By Google Related Models |
