I recently resolved one problem on my recent post about dryer not tumbling and getting very hot. Thanks to replies by denmman I replaced drum belt and that is working fine. I still have the problem with the dryer getting too hot very quickly even on low heat.

When I first found the problem about the broken belt I discovered that had happened when my dryer was not getting a full load of towels dry.
If my dryer was set on 45 mins to dry on high heat and maybe drum belt was already broken but I didn't realize it. If the dryer was on high heat while the dryer was not tumbling for 45 mins or more, could that possibly have made the thermostat go bad and get so hot?
