my dryer comes on the igniter gets hot,the flames come out, but the dryer doesen't stay hot constantly.what could be the problem? i was told that it could be the coils. does that sound about right?

HI. Take off the vent hose from the back of the dryer and run one regular load. If it'll dry fine then the problem is with the vent being restricted. If not - take the dryer a part, replace the control coils and clean all the air ducts including the chute in the back. The control coils Part number: 279834
