Replaced drive motor last year, and it spins fine still. Dryer will not heat up, only cold air coming out of duct. Replaced heating element, but did not heat still. Put new thermal fuse in, part #ER3392519, and also replaced thermostat, part#ER279816. Still will not heat up. I am thinking that it could be either the temp control switch on control panel, or the timer control not sending signal to heat up element. Not sure which way to go now. I checked the electronic control pc board and it looks fine, no burned or broken connections that I can see. No melted wires anywhere, or loose wires anywhere. Please help!!!

Locate the dryer circuit breaker in the house breaker box and reset this breaker.

If it would not fix the problem, pull the dryer out of the wall and remove the terminal block cover on the back of the dryer. Measure the voltage at the terminal block (where the power cord is connected to). The normal readings should be: between the red wire & the white wire and between the black wire & the white wire - 120 VAC; between the red wire & the black wire - 240 VAC.

Post the results.

Recently, we had an electrician redo the wiring from the main breaker box to the dryer outlet. After checking the voltage, as you recommended, I found there to be 122 VAC between the black and white wires, and 0 VAC between the red and black wires. Apparently the electricians did not properly wire the outlet. Guess I will be giving them a call here in a minute. Guess I could have saved myself money and time by double checking behind them, just thought they knew what they were doing, and since the dryer was a bit aged I figured the parts I replaced could be bad. Oh well, at least I know what I have now. Thank you Gene, I don't know why I did not put 2 and 2 together on the voltage. Hope you have a great day.

Electrician showed up yesterday, took 5 minutes to find and fix the problem. Apparently they had not wired in to the breaker box correctly. Even electricians make mistakes. Dryer works like a brand new one now, especially since I have replaced everything, lol ! Thank you again for the information, and have a great evening.

You are welcome. I'm glad it's up and running. It's only those who do nothing that make no mistakes.
